Why claim your Spotify profile?
Claiming your Spotify for Artists profile gives you the blue verification checkmark, access to streaming analytics, and the ability to pitch your releases to Spotify's editorial playlists. It also lets you customize your profile with images, bio, and Canvas videos.
Prerequisites
You need at least one song distributed to Spotify. wavbee delivers to Spotify on all plans — your music is typically live within 1-4 days of submission.
9 steps to claim your profile
1. Distribute your music
Make sure you have at least one release live on Spotify through wavbee or another distributor.
2. Log into Spotify
Access your existing Spotify account or create a new one using your artist email.
3. Visit Spotify for Artists
Go to artists.spotify.com/claim to begin the claiming process.
4. Select your role
Choose whether you are an Artist, Manager, or Label team member.
5. Provide personal details
Enter your name, Spotify user account, and notification email address.
6. Enter your artist name
Type the exact name of the artist or band profile you want to claim.
7. Verify your identity
Spotify may ask you to verify through your social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and provide relevant professional links.
8. Review and submit
Double-check all information before confirming your submission.
9. Wait for approval
Once verified, a blue checkmark appears on your profile. Approval typically takes a few days.
For artists without releases yet
If you're working with a label or distributor before your first release, request your artist URI from your distributor (wavbee can provide this) and paste it during the claiming process to associate your profile with your team.
