Claiming Your Apple Music for Artists Profile

Why claim your Apple Music profile?

Apple Music for Artists gives you access to analytics, audience demographics, and tools to customize your artist page. Once verified, you can add lyrics, create playlists, and update your profile images.

Prerequisites

You need at least one song distributed to Apple Music. If you're on wavbee, your music is automatically delivered to Apple Music on all plans.

Step-by-step guide

1. Create an Apple Music for Artists account

Visit artists.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. If you don't have one, create a free Apple ID first.

2. Find your artist page

In the dashboard, select "Add New Artist" and search for your name. Use your iTunes Store link for accuracy if your name is common.

3. Verify your role

Select one of your albums to confirm you are the primary artist. Note: featured artists cannot claim profiles — only the primary artist on a release can.

4. Complete your application

Choose your role (Artist, Manager, or Label Rep) and fill in the required fields. Connecting your social media accounts or distributor can speed up the verification process.

5. Submit and wait

Submit your application and wait for manual review. This typically takes several days. Your status will show as "Pending" during this time.

After verification

Once approved, you get access to:

  • Audience insights — demographics, geographic data, listening trends
  • Lyrics — add or edit lyrics for your tracks
  • Playlists — create curated playlists on your artist page
  • Profile customization — update your artist image, header, and social links
  • Performance analytics — track streams and sales by region

For labels

Label representatives must work directly with the artist for profile access. Pending access requests expire after 30 days.
